SAD! Kagadi S3 student collapses, dies during football training

Kagadi: A Senior Three student from Kyakabadiima Parents Secondary School has tragically collapsed and died during a football training session held at Kyakabadiima Primary School playground in Kyakabadiima Sub-county, Kagadi District.
The incident occurred on the evening of Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at the start of the training session.
The school’s Director of Studies, Birungi Padreg, identified the deceased as Richard Byamukama, 19. “He showed no signs of illness before collapsing. It’s unfortunate we have lost him,” Padreg said.
Officer in Charge of Kyakabadiima Police Post, Vincent Byamukama, confirmed the incident and stated that police have launched investigations into the cause of the sudden death.
“It’s true he passed away during the training session, but we have commenced investigations to establish the main cause of his death,” he said.
He further urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information. “Community members are urged to refrain from circulating false rumours while investigations are still ongoing,” he warned.
