Doves boss optimistic about pounding effect of coach Nyanzi

Dove FC beat Kiryandongo United FC to move fifth on the table, and Nyanzi believes the team is capable of maintaining a better display. 

Masindi: Club President Julius Mugisa is optimistic that Dove FC will finish in the top five because of the pounding effect brought on board by Coach Nyanzi for the team.

His arrival gave the club’s management a lot of relief. Mugisa reveals that Nyanzi is a tried-and-tested coach able to deliver on his job.

He is appealing to fans to trust the new head coach and return to the pitch to play and enjoy classic football in the remaining league fixtures and Stanley Cup games.

Currently, Dove FC has reached the round of 16 and will be facing West Nile-based Pakwach Young Star FC.

Speaking on Sunday after the win against Kiryandongo United FC, Coach Nyanzi Meddy expressed gratitude to the players for the commitment and result-oriented spirit exhibited during the match.

Before Nyanzi’s arrival, Dove FC was in 11th place, and after three games in charge, the Masindi-based team is now in 5th place with 17 points in 13 games.

Coach Nyanzi’s focus now shifts to the Stanbic Uganda Cup encounter with Pakwach Young Stars FC on Thursday at Katusabe Dove Stadium on March 7, 2024.
