Wife, three men arrested over burglary theft

Ntungamo: Police in Rubaare, Ntungamo District, are holding four suspects, including a woman, in connection with a burglary that occurred over the weekend in Kyabukuju 2, Kyabukuju Ward, commonly known as Muyenga.
The suspects have been identified as Kajungu Mubarak, Twinamatsiko Baker Samuel, Nasasira Abraham, and Nahwera Macklin, who is reportedly in a relationship with one of the suspects.
Macklin was found drinking with the others at Grace Bar and Lodges on Rwebikoona Street in Rubaare Town Council at the time of arrest.
According to the victim, Ms. Doreen Natukwasa, the branch manager of Kyabukuju Nyanga, she received a call around midday on Saturday informing her that her room had been broken into. Upon arrival, she discovered the door was open and several items were missing, including a 32-inch iSense TV, a 6×6 Uro foam mattress, and clothes belonging to her and her husband.
Ms. Natukwasa reported the incident to the police and called for the canine unit to assist in tracing the suspects.
According to PC Vincent Epero and PC Innocent Andama from the Ntungamo Police Canine Unit, they received the call from the victim around 3:15 PM and responded by 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 7th.

Local Council I Chairperson for Kyabukuju 2, Mr. Kenneth Byaki Twinamatsiko, confirmed the burglary occurred while the homeowner was away. He urged residents to remain vigilant, even with security measures in place.
As of press time, police were still compiling documentation and statements in preparation for a full report on the incident.
