SAD! Unidentified man shot dead in Kitgum

Kitgum: Police in Kitgum Municipality are investigating a suspected case of murder after an unidentified man was shot dead in the early hours of Monday morning at Apollo Grounds.
According to IP Oloya Joe, the Aswa East Regional Police Spokesperson, the incident was first reported by Mr. Ngomkura John, the LC1 Chairperson of Apollo Grounds Cell, who discovered the body at the scene and alerted authorities.
“A case file has been opened, and investigations are ongoing,” said IP Oloya. “A team led by Detective Inspector of Police (D/IP) Alupo Florence visited the scene and obtained witness statements.”

The body of the deceased has been transported to Kitgum General Hospital for a postmortem examination as efforts continue to identify the victim and track down the suspect.
Authorities are urging anyone with information that could aid in the investigation to report to the nearest police station.
