Missing boda boda rider discovered dead in swamp
He was reportedly last seen on April 12 at around midday.

Jinja: Police in Buwenge are investigating circumstances surrounding the suspected drowning of a boda boda rider.
The deceased, identified as Kajiiko Isifu, 35, a boda boda rider and resident of Kalebera village in Buwenge Sub-county, Jinja District, was reportedly last seen on April 12 at around midday.
He was spotted sitting near the waterlogged Nagawoloma swamp, which separates Kalebera and Kibundaire villages.
Following his disappearance, family members and police launched a search operation. On April 16, at around 11 a.m., the LC1 Chairperson of Kibundaire village received a call from a resident who had discovered a decomposing body while gardening near the swamp.
According to SP James Mubi, the Kiira Region Police spokesperson, the chairperson immediately informed Buwenge Police Station, prompting a swift response to the scene.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Kajiiko drowned in the swamp. His body was retrieved and taken to Buwenge HCIV mortuary for a conclusive postmortem examination.
SP Mubi cautioned residents against going swimming or fishing alone, especially in remote or unfamiliar areas, and warned against swimming in dirty or stagnant waters.
He added that police are continuing to empower local communities by offering free training to village life guards to strengthen emergency response teams.
