She stated that the beneficiaries would be selected from among those pupils at Rwesasi Primary School who cannot afford school fees.
Kabale: The co-founder of Hope Reception Center, Ms. Enid Atuheire Origumisiriza, has announced a scholarship for the needy pupils from Rwesasi Primary School in Kabale Municipality.
Atuheire disclosed that the scholarship is for two pupils who will have scored first grades and wish to enroll at Rwesasi Secondary School.
She made this announcement on Friday while speaking at the induction service of Rev. Michael Asiimwe and his wife, Patience Asiimwe, as the parish priest of Rwesasi Church of Uganda Parish, within Kizinga Archdeaconry, Diocese of Kigezi, Rwesasi Parish, Kaharo sub-county, Kabale district.
The induction service was led by Ven. Mityana Fred Barigye, the Archdeacon of Kizinga Archdeaconry in the Diocese of Kigezi.
She stated that the beneficiaries would be selected from among those pupils at Rwesasi Primary School who cannot afford school fees.
Atuheire, who is eyeing the Woman Member of Parliament for Kabale district in 2026, expressed her determination, by God’s grace, to support these students, even if she does not win the upcoming elections.
She, however, emphasized that the sponsored students must come from Rwesasi Primary School.
As of now, Atuheire mentioned that she has already commenced paying school fees for one pupil since the beginning of the term.
According to the Deputy Headteacher of Rwesasi Primary School, Asiimwe Herbert, the school currently has at least 350 pupils.
Rev. Ven. Mitanga Barigye of Kizinga Archdeaconry C.O.U. urged parents to prioritize their children’s education in today’s competitive world. He also encouraged income-generating projects to support community development.
He also emphasized the importance of respecting and cooperating with both religious and political leaders for community development, urging the public to embody the principles of Jesus Christ in their daily lives.
