Over 260 students graduate at St. Ambrose Institute of Health Sciences Kagadi

They pledged to deliver healthcare services with integrity and professionalism, using the skills and knowledge acquired to serve their communities and make a positive impact on the world.

Kagadi: Over 260 students have successfully graduated from St. Ambrose Institute of Health Sciences in Kagadi, earning certificates in Nursing and Midwifery.

The graduation ceremony, which took place on Thursday at the institute’s premises in Kagadi Town Council, was marked by a colorful and solemn event attended by a variety of dignitaries, including politicians, religious leaders, members of the business community, and local residents.

The ceremony began with a mass led by Rt. Rev. Vincent Kirabo Amooti, the Bishop of Hoima Catholic Diocese, who served as the chief guest.

Bishop Kirabo extended his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates and urged them to apply the knowledge and skills they had gained to serve their communities with professionalism, emphasizing that their work should reflect the values of service to humanity and dedication to the well-being of God’s people.

Fr. Msgr. Joseph Birungi, the Executive Director of St. Ambrose Institute of Health Sciences, reiterated the institution’s core mission to address the challenges in the delivery of quality healthcare education.

He emphasized the institute’s commitment to training skilled, self-motivated, and qualified professionals who are not only competent in their fields but also respectful of diverse values and cultures.

Mr. Emilio Masereka, the principal of St. Ambrose Institute, shared the progress the institution has made since its establishment, highlighting the strides it has taken in providing quality education and training for healthcare professionals.

He acknowledged the support of the community and encouraged the graduates to continue advancing their skills and contributing to the improvement of healthcare services in the region.

Hon. Ndibwami B Yosia, the LCV Chairperson of Kagadi District, also expressed his gratitude to the parents for prioritizing St. Ambrose Institute as their preferred choice for healthcare training. He praised the institute for its role in shaping the future of healthcare in the district and beyond.

In a moving speech on behalf of the graduates, Prisilah Ayinomugisha thanked Almighty God for guiding them to this momentous day and for giving them the strength to complete their studies.

She assured the audience that the graduates are committed to tackling global healthcare challenges with integrity, innovation, and a strong sense of responsibility.
