Masindi: Kabalega Secondary School in Masindi municipality is mourning the death of its teacher, who collapsed dead.
The deceased has been identified as Amos Kamanyire, a mathematics teacher who died on Saturday at midday.
According to the school head teacher, Andrew Tumwesige, Kamanyire reported for work on the fateful day without any health complaints and later went back home, where he collapsed while sitting in the sitting room.

Tumwesige told this publication on Monday that Kamanyire was rushed to Kitara Medical Center for treatment, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The cause of Kamanyire’s death has not been known, but Tumwesige suspects it could have been caused by cardiac arrest since the deceased has been healthy for the time he had known him
The head teacher described Kamanyire, who has worked at the school for 33 years as a dedicated, hardworking, and longest-serving teacher at the school, who will be greatly missed by the students and fellow teachers.
The headteacher revealed that Kamanyire’s body will be taken to St. Matthew’s cathedral for a requiem service at 8:30am and later taken to his home in Kitojo cell, Karujubu division, Masindi district, where he will be buried tomorrow.
