Kagadi: A thunderbolt has claimed the life of a 17-year-old girl in Kagadi Sub-County, Kagadi district.
The deceased has been identified as Edina Ayesiga, daughter of Hannington Mwebaze and Faibi Nyirabakunzi, all residents of Busirabo A in Busirabo Parish in Kagadi Sub-County Kagadi district.
According to Medius Twinomugisha, the deceased’s aunt’s teenager, the incident happened on Thursday morning at around 11 a.m. during heavy rains.
She narrates that Edina Ayesiga (now deceased) was taking shelter on the doorway of the house when the lightning bolt threw her in the compound and struck her dead.
Other family members were left with no harm.
By the time we filed this story, the police had not yet reached the scene.
