Thugs steal Masindi church music equipment

Masindi: Police in Masindi district are investigating a case of beggary and theft of items belonging to Kikingura Church of Uganda in Kikigura village.

On Sunday, January 28, 2024, Joseph Kyamanywa, leader of the Kikingura Church of Uganda, left the church and went to sleep with his family at his home.

Mr. Kyamanywa told this publication that he woke up at around 5:00 a.m. and found 1 amplifier, 1 generator, and 1 microphone system, all belonging to the church, missing.

”I left the church and went home to sleep with my family. Early in the morning, at around 5 a.m., I found 1 amplifier, 1 generator, and 1 microphone system missing,’’ he added.

‘’This prompted me to report the matter to the police,’’ he further added.

Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson, confirmed the incident and said they have commenced investigations into the matter.

‘’We have commenced investigations into the matter; however, no suspect has been apprehended, but efforts are on to get them,’’ he said.
