Three arrested over murder in Kikuube

The trio is behind bars, while others are still at large.

Kikuube: Police in Kikuube district are holding three suspects for allegedly murdering Enock Atuhura, 23, a resident of Nyakabonge LC1 in Kinogozi parish, Kikuube district.

Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine Region police mouthpiece, disclosed that the suspects were only identified as Regan, Ayebale, and Peter.

The trio is behind bars, while others are still at large.

It’s alleged that on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at around 2300 hours, while at Mugisa’s bar, the above suspects picked a quarrel over the barmaid since all of them were in love with her.

Hakiza added that as the fight went on, the security at the bar chased them out, where the Atuhura, who is now deceased, came to see people fighting and flashed a touch on them.

The regional police mouthpiece asserted that upon Atuhura flashing a light on them, Reagan picked up a knife and stabbed him on the left chest, and he died at Hoima regional referral hospital on reaching.
