RIBTE gears up for silver jubilee celebration

The administration sees this moment as an opportunity to reflect on achievements, recognize partners, and build momentum for future growth.

Kampala: The Royal Institute of Business and Technical Education Bwaise (RIBTE) is in high gear as preparations for its 25th Anniversary (Silver Jubilee) celebration move into full swing.

The grand event is scheduled to take place on December 6,  2025 at the institute’s main campus in Bwaise, Kampala.

This milestone marks 25 years of excellence in business and technical education since the institute’s founding on December 4, 2000.

Over the years, RIBTE has grown into one of Uganda’s leading institutions, offering DIT, national certificate, and diploma programs, and is fully registered and certified by the Uganda Vocational and Technical Assessment Board (UVTAB).

To properly commemorate this remarkable journey, RIBTE has organized the Silver Jubilee celebration in four quarters.

The first quarter comprising a sports gala was launched on  March 23, 2025 with a vibrant sports day held at Blend Gardens, Bwaise, bringing together students and alumni for a day of unity and fun.

The second quarter consisted of a charity drive and it was launched  on June 27, 2025 were RIBTE visited Poor Missionary Jerusalem Home in Busega, donating essential items as part of giving back to the community and supporting the vulnerable.

The third quarter, which will cater the jubilee dinner, a special dinner will be held (date to be announced) to gather key stakeholders, alumni, and supporters in celebration of the institute’s journey and impact.

And the fourth quarter which will be main celebration with the grand finale of the Silver Jubilee will take place on 6th December 2025 at the main campus, with a lineup of speeches, recognitions, performances, and a look toward the future.

According to the management, the 25th anniversary not only celebrates the past but also sets the pace for the institute’s next chapter, including plans to transition into a university.

The administration sees this moment as an opportunity to reflect on achievements, recognize partners, and build momentum for future growth.
