Masindi missing teacher found decomposing in house

He said that this forced them to inform his relatives and the police, who later broke the door and found his body in the room.

Masindi: Residents of Unini Village in Nyantozi subcounty, Masindi district, were left in shock after discovering their colleague decomposing in his house.

The deceased has been identified as Francis Onenchan in his late 20s, a resident of the same area and teacher at Trinity Nursery and Primary School, Kasenene.

Gerald Mbiya, the director of Trinity Nursery and Primary School, told this publication that Onenchan last went to the school on Tuesday last week to request money to go and bury a relative in Kiryandongo district.

Mbiya added that Onenchan never returned to the school until Saturday morning, when he was informed by one of his teachers that he had been found dead in his rented room in the Unini trading center.

The LC2 chairperson, Kasenene Parish, John Esoku, disclosed that Onenchan, who has been epileptic, disappeared on Tuesday, prompting a hunt for him until Saturday, when a strong stench and flies started oozing from his room.

Esoku said that this forced them to inform his relatives and the police, who later broke the door and found his body in the room.

The sub county chairperson, Sunday Eyotu, advised the grownups against staying alone in order to prevent such incidents from happening.
