He commended the members for their impactful work and highlighted his continued efforts to support vulnerable university students through bursaries, ensuring that more locals have access to higher education.

Kikuube: In a significant move to support education and uplift vulnerable children in Kikuube District, the women of the Twinomugisa Women’s Group have come together to raise funds for needy children’s education.

Located in Kirimbi village, Buhimba Sub County, Buhaguzi East County, the group consists of 18 dedicated members with a mission to positively impact the lives of children from impoverished families by providing educational support.

The group, however, faces challenges in raising the often exorbitant fees required for students in higher institutions, an issue that sometimes overwhelms its members, according to Chairperson Sylvia Ayesiza Bukenya. Despite these obstacles, the women continue to push forward with their mission.

In an effort to boost their social income and support their livelihood, the women received tents from Buhaguzi East Member of Parliament, Steven Aseera Itaza.

Itaza commended the members for their impactful work and highlighted his continued efforts to support vulnerable university students through bursaries, ensuring that more locals have access to higher education.

Additionally, women under the Mothers’ Union from Kirimbi Church of Uganda have launched a fundraising campaign to complete the lay leader’s residence. The funds raised will be used to install doors, windows, and glasses at the church house. The fundraising event was held over the weekend, with the women of the Mothers’ Union leading the contributions.

Gorret Nyamungu, the Vice-Chairperson of the Mothers’ Union at Kirimbi COU, noted that the Bible emphasizes the critical role of women in building homes, which inspired the Mothers’ Union to take on this project.

Hon. Steven Aseera Itaza also expressed his support for the women’s efforts, donating UGX 200,000 to the project. He promised to revisit the initiative to ensure its completion and continued success.
