Buliisa: In a proactive move to curb the potential spread of the Ebola virus, health authorities in Buliisa District have set up screening and isolation centers at border entry points and health facilities.

“We have been working on Mpox disease, and we have already started screening at entry points to identify individuals with Ebola symptoms,” Mugabe stated.
To enhance public awareness, the health department has also distributed Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials to health facilities, urging health workers to display them for public access.
“We have distributed information and communication materials at health facilities to help communities stay informed. Health workers have been urged to ensure they are visible for public consumption,” he added.
While the district has not recorded any Ebola cases, Mugabe urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspected symptoms, including; blood vomiting and bleeding tendencies, high fever and elevated body temperature.
