The request was made by the Health Inspector at Biiso Health Center IV, Ms. Dolly Birungi, while presenting a report on the health sector during the 2024/25 budget conference held recently at Biiso Community Hall.

Birungi noted that lack of transport means has become a big challenge at the facility, resulting in poor service delivery. ‘’ Lack of transport means has become a big challenge at the facility, resulting in poor service delivery,’’ she further noted.

According to Birungi, providing the facility with an ambulance will ease referrals, especially for mothers who face difficulties during deliveries.

The Buliisa district planner, Mr. Tadeo Tumusiime, who represented Chief Administrative Officer Ismail Onzu, said the two available ambulances have mechanical faults, disclosing that they will be repaired and one will be brought to the facility to strengthen emergency care services.
