Balaam speaks out on his ministerial appointment

He was appointed as Minister of State for Gender, Labour, and Social Development (Youth and Children Affairs).

Kampala: The events promoter, Dr. Balaam Barugahara has commended the commander in chief, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, for appointing him as the minister.

Following the cabinet reshuffle on Thursday evening, President Museveni appointed Dr. Balaam Barugahara as Minister of State for Gender, Labour, and Social Development (Youth and Children Affairs).

Balaam said his appointment is a vote of confidence in him on behalf of his first unit, the MK Army, the MK Movement, now the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), Bunyoro, and the patriotic youth of Uganda.

‘’The appointment is a vote of confidence in me on behalf of my first unit, the MK Army, the MK Movement, now the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), Bunyoro, and the patriotic youth of Uganda.’’

He also asserted that ‘’It is also an appointment for the art industry (artists and promoters) and the business community of Uganda. I exceedingly thank my role model and Uganda’s next president, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.’’

Balaam applauded Muhoozi for identifying, training, mentoring, deploying, and entrusting him to be his deputy in the whole of Western Uganda.

‘’I look forward to working with and supporting the President in his visionary and deliberate efforts towards the socio-economic transformation of the people of Uganda, especially the youth.’’

He also pledged to serve Uganda in a patriotic manner, listen to the youth and their concerns, engage with them, mobilize them, and empower them towards bettering themselves and improving their lives.
