SAD! Kenya bound bus knocks four dead in Namisindwa

The bus involved was a Scania with registration number KDB 124E, owned by Greenline Company Limited, Kenya.

Namisindwa: Four people tragically lost their lives in an accident when a Scania bus collided with a boda boda (motorcycle), killing the rider and three passengers on the spot.

The incident occurred on Thursday, December 5, 2024, around 11:30 AM in Bufumbula village, located along the Mbale-Lwakhakha highway in Namisindwa district.

The bus involved was a Scania with registration number KDB 124E, owned by Greenline Company Limited, Kenya. The motorcycle, a red Bajaj Boxer with registration number UGC 342R, was carrying the victims.

The incident was confirmed by SP Rogers Taitika as the deceased have been identified as Masika Derrick, 33 years old, the rider, Watsemwa Suzan, 46, a passenger, Nabalayo Beatrice, 24, a passenger, and an unidentified male person, a Kenyan national.

The bus and the boda boda have been parked at Lwakhakha Police Station as investigations are ongoing. The bodies have been taken to Mbale Regional Police for post-mortem examinations.
