Kibaale man killed in suspected love triangle
The deceased went to see his concubine and found there another man who stabbed him in the chest to death.
Kibaale: Police in Kibaale district are holding two people yet to be identified for allegedly murdering Michael Byaruhanga, aged 40, a resident of Muzizi LC1, Bujogoro parish in Nyamarunda subcounty.
Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson, disclosed that on 10th of November 2024, Byaruhanga, now deceased, went to see his concubine and found there another man who stabbed him in the chest to death.
Hakiza says the two are detained at Kibaale CPS to aid in investigations.
Still in Kibaale, police are investigating circumstances under which one Gean Dala Paix Senzoga, 33 years old, resident of Nyakasozi LC1, Mutagata parish in Kyebando subcounty, was killed by a mob.
Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson, revealed that on November 9, 2024, at around 19:00 hours, the deceased left home running, and the relatives tried to follow him but in vain.
The regional police mouthpiece says on November 10, 2024, at around 2:00 hours, Senzoga, now deceased, went to attack one William Kisembo, the LC1 chairman of the village, with an axe.
Hakiza adds that the chairman made an alarm, which attracted many people who assaulted Senzoga severely.
The police officer says the deceased was taken to Imara police post, then later to Kibaale Health Center IV for medication, where he was pronounced dead.
