Over ten cheat death in Mafubira – Kamuli road accident

Kamuli: A serious accident occurred on Friday October 18, 2024, around 4:30 PM on the Mafubira-Kamuli road when a taxi, registration number UBB 409C, lost control and reversed at high speed on the Mpumudde slope near the mosque.
The taxi, carrying over 10 passengers, collided with a boda-boda (motorcycle) registered as UDT 515N.
The boda-boda, which was en route to Jinja City, had a lady and a baby on board. Several individuals sustained injuries, including the boda rider and passengers from both vehicles.
Eyewitnesses reported that the taxi experienced mechanical failure while traveling from Kamuli, first colliding with the rear of an unknown tipper truck before veering into a trench.

Traffic officers quickly arrived on the scene and towed the damaged vehicles to the Jinja Central Police Station (CPS) for investigation.
