13-year-old perishes in Mbale accident

Both the motorcycle and the car are parked at the police yard for inspection.

Mbale: Police in Mbale district are investigating an accident that claimed the life of a 13-year-old girl.

The deceased has been identified as Kisakye Babirye from Luuka district.

She was traveling on a motorcycle with her father, Ngobi Godfrey, when an unidentified boda boda collided with their motorcycle.

This caused Kisakye to be thrown off and hit her head on an Isuzu car, leading to her death on the spot. Her father sustained a fracture.

The accident occurred over the weekend on Manjaga Road, opposite Olympic Petrol Station.

The vehicles involved were a white Suzuki with registration number UAR 497C, driven by Masibondi Yusuf, and a red Bajaj Boxer motorcycle with registration number UDX 677M, ridden by Ngobi Godfrey.

Rogers Taitika, the Elgon Region Police Spokesperson, says they are currently investigating the incident, and both the motorcycle and the car are parked at the police yard for inspection.
