Bukedea: Police in Bukedea district are holding seven youth for allegedly terrorizing residents in the community.
The gang of young youth who nicknamed themselves Ikok is currently detained at the Kangole police post in Kangole Sub County.
It’s reported that their action is to steal and beat people by using sharp objects.
Mr. Charles Okello, the LC1 Chairperson for Kangole, told this publication that many cases have been reported to his office by the attacked persons, the Ikok team.
“These young people are making the area insecure; they beat people with sharp objects,” said Mr. Okello.

Mr. Peter James Okerenyang, oitaigor village vice chairperson, appealed for the district intervention, saying the community is now facing a threat.
However, Michael Ocan, the Kangole LCIII subcounty chairperson, says the subcounty security committee conducted an operation yesterday, and they arrested seven youths who are currently detained in Kangole police posts.
“I want to confirm that yesterday we managed to net seven of them, and they are pending to be transferred to Bukedea Central Police Station for further management,” said Mr. Ocan.
