33 apply to join Uganda Police Force in Buliisa

Buliisa: At least 33 youth in the oil-rich Buliisa district have submitted their applications to join the Uganda Police Force.

Chrysostom John Mwaule, the Buliisa District Police Commander (DPC), said some youth were disqualified for lack of a national identity card, exceeding the age limit of 23, or failing to meet the educational requirements.

He emphasized the importance of public participation in government initiatives and announced that the applications were forwarded to the national police headquarters in Kampala, and the shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews at the district level.

The DPC expressed appreciation for those who submitted their application forms but noted that they had anticipated a higher turnout.

The Uganda Police released an advertisement on February 7, 2024, seeking applicants aged between 18 and 23  to fill 2500 positions, with an application deadline that expired on February 18th.
