Kitara FC fan perishes in an accident, several injured
The victims were rushed to Hoima Regional Referral Hospital for treatment but are in critical condition.

Hoima: The fan of Kitara Football Club Hoima has died on the spot, while several others are nursing injuries at Hoima Regional Referral Hospital after being involved in an accident.
The deceased has been identified as Timothy Kyomuhendo, 18, a resident of Busisi in Hoima City.
The regrettable incident happened Friday evening at around 8 p.m. at Kakindo village along Masindi-Hoima Road.
Eyewitnesses say the accident involved fans of Kitara Football Club who were coming from watching the match in Masindi, where Kitara Football Club beat Bright Stars 3-1.
Francis Mugerwa, the club’s vice president in charge of communications, condoled with the Kitara FC family, saying they have received unfortunate news about the deaths of some of their fans who were returning to Hoima after their match against Bright Stars FC.
‘’We extend our sympathies to the bereaved family and friends of the deceased and those injured. Our president will give a more detailed statement,’’ he said.
By press time, police had yet to comment on the accident.
