12 cheat death in Moyo–Yumbe road crash
Police have launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Moyo: Twelve people sustained injuries on Thursday morning after a passenger vehicle overturned along the Moyo–Yumbe Road in the North West Nile region.
According to police, the accident occurred at around 9:30 a.m. in Masalwa Village, opposite the Chinese Road Construction Camp.
The vehicle involved, a grey Fuso Fighter truck registration number UBK 072N, was being driven by Rokani Anthony, 39, from Moyo Town towards Lefori Market when the crash happened.
North West Nile Regional Police Spokesperson, Collins Asea, said the driver reportedly encountered oncoming traffic moving at high speed and swerved in an attempt to avoid a collision.
“The driver swerved to avoid a collision but lost control on the narrow road, which is currently under construction, causing the vehicle to overturn,” Asea said.
All 12 passengers aboard the vehicle sustained injuries and were rushed to Moyo General Hospital for treatment.
The injured passengers have been identified as Manzira Sharon, 44, Ojadio Grace, 35, Limio Doret, 43, Ababiku Gloria, 38, Kocimgwe Grace, 40, Kakayo Joyce, 47, Eimani Glades, 34, Eimani Agnes, 35, Andreo Jane, 19, Adibaku Julius, 36, Kwizera Julius, 19 and Habimana Elias, 23.
Police said all the victims are residents of various villages in Moyo District.
Traffic officers led by the Officer in Charge of Traffic in Moyo responded to the scene and documented the crash.
“A rough sketch plan of the accident scene was drawn, and the vehicle was towed to Moyo Police Station for inspection,” Asea said.
Police have launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
“Further updates will be released as more information becomes available,” Asea added.
The incident comes as road users continue to navigate sections of the Moyo–Yumbe Road currently undergoing construction, with police urging motorists to exercise caution and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent accidents.
