West Nile Regional Police Commander transferred in fresh reshuffle, hands over office 

Their efforts in combating recent crimes, including thefts and robberies in Arua City, were particularly appreciated.

Arua: The Regional Police Commander (RPC) for West Nile Region, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Eddie Sserunjogi, has handed over the office to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ochama Denis following the recent appointments by the Inspector General of Police, Uganda.

ACP Eddie Sserunjogi was appointed as the Commissioner of Police, overseeing the Department of Private Security Fire Arms at Police Headquarters in Kampala.

Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ochama Denis steps into the role of RPC West Nile Region, having previously served as Deputy RPC.

Additionally, SSP Sserunjogi John Bosco, formerly the DPC of Bundibugyo District, assumes the position of Deputy RPC West Nile Region.

During the handover ceremony on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, ACP Eddie Sserunjogi expressed gratitude to the team of officers in the West Nile Region for their cooperation, discipline, teamwork, and hard work.

Their efforts in combating recent crimes, including thefts and robberies in Arua City, were particularly appreciated.

He also acknowledged the support from technical and political leaders, the judiciary, UPDF, prisons, ISO, the business community, and the general public throughout his tenure as RPC.

Furthermore, ACP Sserunjogi thanked the press fraternity for their collaboration in identifying challenges and disseminating timely information.

The incoming RPC, SSP Ochama Denis, expresses gratitude for the appointment and acknowledges the guidance and mentorship provided by the outgoing RPC, ACP Eddie Sserunjogi.

During the handover and takeover ceremony, the regional heads of departments bid farewell to ACP Eddie Sserunjogi, recognizing his leadership and management skills.

They also welcomed SSP Ochama Denis, pledging to uphold teamwork, discipline, and cooperation to enhance public services. May their commitment contribute to a safer and more secure community for all.
