SAD! 70 year old woman commits suicide in Amuria
The matter was reported to police vide CRB 201/2024 of CPS Amuria.
Amuria: Police in Amuria central police station in Amuria district are actively investigating the circumstances under which a 70 year old woman committee suicide by hanging.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 0400/c, in Arute Village, Arute Parish, Abarilela Sub-County in Amuria District.
Edson Obukulem, the East Kyoga acting police spokesperson identified the deceased as Robinah Nambi, Muganda, and housewife to Mr John Okiror.
“It’s believed that the deceased has been battling with a mental health problem since last year may after her involvement in a motor accident”, said Mr. Obukulem.
Mr. Obukulem also added that on the fatefulday, the body of the deceased was found dangling on the Muvule tree a few meters from her home.
“The matter was reported to police vide CRB 201/2024 of CPS Amuria”, added Obukulem.
However the body of the deceased was conveyed to Amuria General Hospital Mortuary for Postmortem and no arrests made yet.
