Muhanuzi elected guild president for Hoima Nursing School for the second time
He urged the new leaders to start from where the old leaders had stopped.
Hoima: Muhanuzi Mugisa has been elected the guild president for Hoima School of Nursing and Midwifery for the second time.
He was the guild president in the years 2015–2016 while pursuing a certificate in nursing, and again he was elected as the guild president while pursuing a diploma in the same course.
Addressing the congregation after swearing in as the new guild president, Muhanuzi attributed his success to his good relationship with the entire administration and students at large.
Muhanuzi, who is currently working with the Buliisa District local government in the health sector, promised to continue with good service.
When asked whether he is interested in joining active politics, Muhanuzi revealed that he has intensions to stand as an area Member of Parliament for Buliisa Constituency.
The Hoima City Resident Commissioner, Mr. Badru Mugabi, commended the new leadership of the Hoima School of Nursing for changing the discipline, which was darkened by rampant demonstrations.
Mugabi said this while officiating the swearing-in function for the 13th guild cabinet for the institution, which was held recently. He challenged the new leadership to be transparent during their term of service.
Macris Kalanzi, the principal of Hoima School of Nursing, thanked the outgoing leadership for being hardworking and instilling discipline among students.
