Masindi: Six arrested for attempted murder
The suspects are being charged with attempted murder and are detained at Masindi CPS.
Masindi: Police in Masindi district are holding six suspects for the attempted murder of Steven Musinguzi, a boda boda rider and a resident of Byerima cell, Nyangahya division, in Masindi Municipality.
Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine Regional Police Spokesperson, has identified the suspects as Jackson Atuginga, Hilary Tumuhaise, Alfred Kyomi, Emerita Asaba, Sarah Nyamahunge, and Hassan Isingoma.
According to Hakiza, the incident happened on June 16, 2024, at around 2 a.m. The suspects raided the home of the victim, all having pangas, and they cut him on the head, neck, and shoulder.
He explained that the victim and the suspects are relatives and have been having a long land dispute. Musinguzi was rushed to Mirembe Health Center for treatment.
