Masindi sex worker found dead in rented room

Masindi: Police are investigating the circumstances under which a 23-year-old sex worker died in Masindi town, Masindi district.
Sarah Birungi was found dead on Sunday morning in her rented room along Sebagala Street by neighbors who alerted the police, who later took her body to Masindi Hospital for a postmortem.
A neighbor who preferred anonymity told this publication that Birungi was last seen alive on Saturday evening without any health complaints.
‘’We became suspicious when she failed to wake up on Sunday morning, prompting us to peep through the window of her room only to find her dead,’’ she said.
Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson, confirmed the reports, saying they were still waiting for the postmortem report to establish the exact cause of Birungi’s death.
