Archbishop Wokorach shakes Gulu Archdiocese leadership

The new assignments will take effect on  January,1, 2025, with the exception of the Chancellor and his Assistant, whose appointments will take effect on  December 1, 2024.

Gulu: His Grace, Most Rev. Raphael P’Mony Wokorach, the new Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Gulu, has made his second round of priestly appointments following the earlier appointment of the Vicar General.

Among the new appointments are: Rev. Fr. Komakech Christopher, Parish Priest of Christ the King Catholic Parish, who has been named the Episcopal Vicar of Kitgum Vicariate and Rev. Fr. Okumu Alfred, Parish Priest of Namokora Uganda Martyrs Catholic Parish, who is now appointed as the Dean of Kalongo Deanery and the Parish Priest of Patongo Catholic Parish.

Other key appointments include: Fr. Anthony Diego Okello, appointed as the Diocesan Chancellor, Fr. Albert Lakony, appointed as the Assistant Diocesan Chancellor and Master of Ceremony, Rev. Fr. Cyprian Ocen P’Akec, appointed as the Episcopal Vicar of Gulu Vicariate and the Parish Priest of Gulu Cathedral, Fr. Daniel Comboni Okello, appointed as the Dean of Kitgum Mission Deanery.

Meanwhile Fr. David Okullu, appointed as the Dean of Christ the King Deanery, Fr. Alfred Ayella Kizito, appointed as the Dean of Lacor Deanery and the Parish Priest of Pabo, Rev. Fr. Anthony Nyeko, appointed as the Dean of Holy Rosary Deanery, among others.
