Assailants kill 19-year-old in Pakwach

Asea confirmed that investigations are underway to apprehend the culprits responsible for the crime.

Pakwach: Police in Pakwach District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 19-year-old man identified as Omirambe Francis.

The deceased was a resident of Mutusa Cell, Ganda Ward, Panyimur Town Council in Pakwach District.

According to Collins Asea, the Police Spokesperson for the West Nile Region, Omirambe is believed to have been killed at an unknown location and his body later dumped at Mutusa Cell.

The incident was reported to the police by Owinji Andrew, the 70-year-old LC1 Chairperson of Mutusa Cell.

“It’s alleged that between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM on January 4, 2025, the deceased was killed by unknown assailants at an unknown location, and his body was brought and dumped next to their home,” Asea explained.

The body was first spotted by two children heading to sleep. They mistook the deceased for someone who was drunk. They then informed their mother, who checked and discovered that Omirambe was already dead, with a black rubber band tied around his neck.
