Budaka Deputy RDC Nusura perishes in road accident
He emphasized that Nabukalu passed away in the line of duty and deserves to be celebrated for her unwavering commitment and service to her country.
Budaka: The Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) for Budaka, Hajjati Nabukalu Nusura, tragically lost her life in a road accident on Sunday evening.
The incident occurred at around 5:00 PM along the Jinja–Iganga Highway near Kakira, when her Toyota double cabin (registration number UG 4803C) collided head-on with a trailer (registration number KDH 025V).
Nabukalu was returning from an official engagement in Bulamagi, Iganga district, when the fatal crash happened.
The news of her passing was confirmed by Milly Babalanda, the Minister for the Presidency, through her official X (formerly Twitter) account.
“I announce the heartbreaking news of the death of the Deputy RDC Budaka, Hajjati Nabukalu Nusura, who has died in an accident this evening at Musita. So painful a loss at this time,” she wrote.
Minister Babalanda praised Nabukalu’s dedication to service and expressed her condolences to the family, friends, and the Presidency. “May her soul rest in eternal peace and condolences to family, friends, and the Presidency at large,” she added.
Faruk Kirunda, the Deputy Press Secretary to the President, eulogized Nabukalu as a loyal and hardworking cadre of the National Resistance Movement (NRM).
“She was appointed because of her unshakable zeal for the party and nation. She was well-known at all levels, right from when I was very young, hearing about her in the local council structures where she served without blemish,” he said.
Kirunda emphasized that Nabukalu passed away in the line of duty and deserves to be celebrated for her unwavering commitment and service to her country.
