Man burns boss’s house after failing to receive payment

He urged the public to always resolve misunderstandings legally and avoid resorting to violence or unlawful actions.

Pader: A 27-year-old man, Rubangaber Emmanuel, has been arrested in Onege Cell, Kal Ward, Atanga Town Council, Pader District, for allegedly setting fire to a house belonging to his employer, Anywar Isaac.

According to Aswa East Regional Police Spokesperson, IP Oloya Joe, the incident occurred on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, in Onege Cell, Kal Parish, Atanga Town Council.

The dispute arose after Anywar Isaac refused to pay Rubangaber the 60,000 shillings he had withdrawn via mobile money for workers who had molded bricks.

In retaliation, Rubangaber set fire to a grass-thatched house where Anywar’s relative, Nyeko Alfred, was sleeping.

A case of arson has been filed at Atanga Police Post, and Rubangaber Emmanuel has been detained. Police visited the scene, documented the incident, and recorded relevant statements.

IP Oloya urged the public to always resolve misunderstandings legally and avoid resorting to violence or unlawful actions.
