Umukuka III to invite King Mswati for Imbalu celebrations

Pretoria: The spokesperson for Inzuya Masaba, Mr. Steven Masiga, has confirmed that His Royal Highness the Umukuka III of the Bamasaba people, Jude Mike Mudoma, is currently on an official working visit to several Southern African countries, including Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), Malawi, South Africa, and Lesotho.
Mr. Masiga briefed the press, explaining that the Umukuka left Entebbe International Airport via Ethiopian Airlines. As per government protocols, His Royal Highness traveled first class with a diplomatic passport, landing in South Africa six hours later.
The Umukuka III is accompanied by Her Royal Highness Annet Mudoma, his spouse, along with several key Inzuya Masaba officials, including, Hon. Vincent Woboya, Minister for Disaster and Emergencies and Hon. William Wanyoto Anthony, Secretary to the Cabinet.
Others are; Hon. Samuel Watulastu, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Sam Kuloba, Minister for Education, Hon. Wadada David, Financial Mobilizer, Hon. Wilson Metrine Nangila, and Mrs. Irene Watulastu, Equerry of the Nabachelema Foundation.
According to Mr. Masiga, the Umukuka III’s visit will include a courtesy visit to His Majesty King Mswati III of Eswatini. The primary purpose of this visit is to formally invite King Mswati to be the chief guest at the 2026 Imbalu celebrations in Mutoto, which are scheduled to take place in approximately 500 days.
In addition to this important diplomatic engagement, the Umukuka and his entourage will visit several Bamasaba communities in South Africa.
They will also make an official visit to the University of the Western Cape, engage with officials from the Ugandan Embassy in South Africa, and interact with the business community to encourage investment in Masabaland.
