Masindi: The Masindi Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Ms. Sanyu Phiona, has been transferred to Bushenyi district.
After serving in Masindi district for three years, she handed over her office to Ms. Tappy Namulondo, who was transferred from Kamuli district.
The handover ceremony took place at the district chambers on Friday, July 5, 2024.
During her tenure, Sanyu received praise from various district officials.
She applauded the district leadership, councilors, civil servants, and security for their cooperation.
Sanyu called upon the district leadership to remain focused and support the incoming CAO for effective service delivery in the district.
As the new CAO, Tappy Namulondo expressed her commitment to building upon Sanyu’s work and emphasized the importance of teamwork for effective service delivery.
Cosmas Byaruhanga, the Masindi district LCV Chairman, also commended Sanyu. He highlighted her contributions, including joint monitoring, commissioning projects, and discouraging civil servants from engaging in questionable tenders.
Meanwhile, Emmy Ngabirano, the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) for Masindi, welcomed the incoming CAO and pledged support for implementing the NRM manifesto.
Ngabirano emphasized the need for transparency, regular reports and collaboration with the security authorities.
