Bukedea witch doctor’s shrine burned to ashes

However, Eminat, after signing a consent agreement with the church to demolish shrines, disappeared.

Bukedea: A renowned witch doctor, Francis Eminat, a resident of Kongatuny village in Kachumbala Sub County in Bukedea district,  ordered the Anglican church believers to burn his shrines into ashes as a measure to end witchcraft in the society.

William Ogwang Kongatuny local council chairperson says the shrines were burned as the family members experienced uncontrolled sickness.

Sarah Ademun, the wife of a witch doctor, says the destruction of the shrines was the family’s decision. ‘’It was our decision to burn the shrine.’’

Moses Elungat, together with some of the community members who witnessed the destruction of the shrines, say the community has been disturbed equally by the witches.

However, Eminat, after signing a consent agreement with the church to demolish shrines, disappeared.
