Two arrested for killing their brother
The body of the deceased was discovered around the nearby bush.
Kagadi: Police in Kagadi district have arrested two suspects over the alleged murder of their brother.
The deceased has been identified as Yakobo Byeitaka, aged 45, a resident of Kalagi village in Kyezige Sub County, Kagandi district.
Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine Regional Police Spokesperson, explains that it is alleged that the deceased and his brothers Twesigye Bazerio and Monday John had had land wrangles over family land in Kyeisumu village in Kyezinge subcounty, which was being handled by the LC.
Hakiza says on the 20th of this month at 13:00 hours on Monday, John went to the home of the deceased and called him to go and plant boundary marks on the disputed land. They went together, but the deceased never came back.
He adds that on the 21st of this month, the body of the deceased was discovered around the nearby bush, and the case was reported at the Kyezige police post. The two brothers are suspected to have killed the deceased.
