Residents move to censure LC1 chairperson for misusing the village stamp
The petitioners accuse Kamugisha of misusing the village stamp, forgeries, and failing his duties.

Kakumiro: More than 129 residents of Kisiita West B Kisiita town council Kakumiro district have signed a petition moving a vote of no confidence in their LCI Chairperson, Henry Kamugisha.
The petitioners accuse Kamugisha of misusing the village stamp, forgeries, and failing his duties.
The meeting to hear the petition was held on Thursday at Kisiita primary playgrounds in Kisiita town council Kakumiro district.
Immy Tutamurugaho, one of the petitioners, accuses Chairperson Henry Kamugisha, alias Kadogo, of Kisiita West B of abuse of office, corruption, incompetence, and misconduct.
He also accused him of causing havoc in the village by creating hatred among the residents.
However, Henry Kamugisha, the accused, denied the allegations, saying that the petitioners and a small group of residents were their targets.
Kmugisha adds that he was given two weeks to sort himself out and defend himself.
Isa Mucunguzi, speaker of Kisiita town council, who represented Mayor Kisiita town council, asked residents to keep peace as the office is working on their issues.
Tadeo Businge Buletwenda town clerk Kisiita town council asked residents to always elect people who are responsible for their property since the value of property in towns is increasing day and night.
He, however, adjourned the meeting to February 15, 2024.
