Bishop Kugonza challenges Masindi leaders to work together

Masindi: Masindi District leaders have been urged to work together and avoid actions aimed at frustrating their colleagues in the execution of their duties.
The call was made by the Rt. Rev. Joshua Kugonza, Bishop of Masindi-Kitara Diocese, during a prayer service held at Masindi District Headquarters on Wednesday.
Bishop Kugonza urged politicians and technical leaders to put aside political differences, support one another and work collectively for the development of the district.
He said unity among leaders strengthens their ability to deliver services and accomplish more for the people they serve.
“Let us avoid political differences and actions aimed at frustrating our colleagues. We should work together and support one another for the development of Masindi,” Kugonza said.
The Bishop also cautioned leaders against creating standards or practices that divide the public, reminding them that their offices are intended to serve all people.
He urged the leaders to remain mindful of God and serve with humility, saying their positions provide them with an opportunity to serve at a time when many other people were also seeking the same opportunities.

Masindi District LCV Chairperson Patrick Wobusobozi welcomed the prayer service, saying seeking God’s guidance is important for the development of the district.
Wobusobozi echoed the Bishop’s call for teamwork and urged district leaders to complement one another’s efforts in implementing government programmes.
“We need to work together and complement each other’s efforts so that government programmes can be implemented smoothly,” Wobusobozi said.
Musa Kyamiza, the Principal Chief Administrative Officer, thanked Bishop Kugonza for ministering to the district leaders.
Kyamiza said leaders face various challenges in their work and that some silently deal with stress, adding that the prayer service provided an opportunity for them to find relief and spiritual encouragement.
“Leaders face different challenges, and some silently battle with stress. This service has given us an opportunity to find relief,” Kyamiza said.
He urged the leaders to embrace the Bishop’s message and put it into practice in their daily work.
