Adokorach Irene Promises to Champion Women’s Voices, Representation and Support

Adokorach Irene has pledged to put the voices and concerns of Ugandan women at the centre of her leadership agenda as she seeks to become National Chairperson of the Women Council.

Irene says she brings a motherly attachment to the role and wants every woman, regardless of her background, to feel heard, represented and supported.

She argues that many women continue to face challenges that require stronger advocacy and meaningful representation at different levels of leadership.

“I want mothers and women of Uganda to be heard, represented and supported,” Irene says, outlining her commitment to building a platform where women can freely raise their concerns and participate in shaping policies that affect them.

Her campaign message focuses on strengthening women’s representation, promoting economic empowerment and ensuring that women have access to opportunities that can improve their livelihoods.

Irene says she believes leadership should be about listening to people and responding to their needs, promising to use her experience and motherly approach to advocate for women across the country.

Her message is anchored on the theme “Restoring trust – renewing hope,” as she seeks to mobilise women around greater participation, representation and empowerment.
