Museveni meets Tanzanian President Samia’s Son at State House

The two countries have in recent years strengthened bilateral ties through joint projects and agreements aimed at promoting economic cooperation and regional integration.

Entebber: President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Monday, August 24, 2026, met a Tanzanian delegation led by Abdulhalim Hafidh Ameir, son of Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan, at State House, Entebbe.

The delegation included George Nkya, Amal Garang, and Mundhir Mohammed Nassor.

The meeting focused on matters of mutual interest between Uganda and Tanzania, with discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and promoting regional development.

President Museveni welcomed the Tanzanian delegation and held discussions with its members on the issues presented.

A statement issued after the meeting said the talks covered matters of mutual interest between Uganda and Tanzania,” with emphasis on cooperation to strengthen the bilateral relationship.

Museveni’s meeting with the delegation comes amid growing cooperation between Uganda and Tanzania in areas of trade, energy, infrastructure and regional development.
