Kiboga businessman arrested over alleged defilement of sisters
Police also issued a warning to the public against engaging in sexual relations with minors.

Kiboga: Police in Kiboga District have arrested a 39-year-old businessman on allegations of aggravated defilement involving two biological sisters aged 12 and 8 years.
The two girls, whose identities have been withheld to protect their privacy, are daughters of Nyiramuhirwe Agnes, 41, a resident of Nkokonjeru A Cell in Lwamata Town Council, Kiboga District.
According to the Wamala Region Police Spokesperson SSP Kigozi Lameck, the alleged abuse came to light on July 2, 2026, when the younger child reportedly fell ill and experienced difficulty walking. When questioned by her mother, the girl allegedly disclosed that she had been sexually abused by their neighbour, identified as Kiwanuka Simon.
Police further said that when the mother questioned the elder sister about the allegations, she allegedly confirmed them and stated that the suspect would give the girls money after the alleged acts and warn them not to disclose what had happened.
The mother immediately reported the matter to Lwamata Police Station, leading to the suspect’s arrest.
Police confirmed that a case of aggravated defilement has been registered and investigations are ongoing. Documentary proof of the victims’ ages has been obtained, the children have undergone medical examination, and witness statements have been recorded.
The suspect, Kiwanuka Simon, a businessman and resident of Nkokonjeru A Cell, is currently detained at Kiboga Central Police Station pending further investigations.
Police also issued a warning to the public against engaging in sexual relations with minors.
Authorities emphasized that investigations into the matter are still ongoing and that the suspect remains presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
