Masindi: Leaders in Masindi Municipality and the district have been urged to seek wisdom from God as they execute their duties in office.
The call was made by Ms. Beatrice Nakiboneka, the Lay Leader of Nyamigisa Parish, during a victory thanksgiving ceremony for Mr. Rogers Amanyire, the Mayor-elect of Masindi Municipality. The function was held at Amanyire’s home in Kayanja Cell recently.
Preaching from the book of 1 Kings 3:7–12, Nakiboneka encouraged political leaders to emulate King Solomon by seeking God’s wisdom.
“When God asked King Solomon what He should give him, Solomon asked for wisdom. Therefore, newly elected leaders should seek wisdom from God if they are to work and serve the people who elected them,” she said.
She challenged Amanyire to serve the people diligently, promote love, and unite residents of Masindi Municipality.
Nakiboneka further reminded the mayor-elect of the high expectations voters have placed in him, urging him to ensure effective service delivery.
“Amanyire, I want to remind you that voters have high expectations in you. You should ensure that you deliver effective services to the people of Masindi,” she added.

“I joined the race for Masindi Municipal Mayor to make a difference, and I pledge to prioritize effective service delivery. I will work closely with LC1 chairpersons to address challenges at the cell level,” Amanyire said.
He added that before attending council sittings, he plans to first meet the 86 LC1 chairpersons who make up Masindi Municipality to understand their challenges and address them at the grassroots level.
