He urged members of the public to seek help from local leaders or counseling services in times of personal or family crises instead of resorting to drastic measures.

Mujuni is currently receiving treatment at Doctors Clinic in Kakindo Town Council, Kakumiro District. Medical staff have confirmed that his condition is stable.

When contacted for a comment, Zativa Nyamihanda denied any involvement in her husband’s poisoning.

“I have not poisoned him. We separated a long time ago and we don’t live together,” she said.

Local leaders have emphasized the need for community-based counseling and mental health awareness to prevent similar incidents in the future.
