The announcement was made during the 2nd cohort graduation ceremony of the NUP School of Leadership, where Hon. Balimwezo praised the commitment of the party’s supporters.
“We are grateful for the solidarity of our supporters. This is a testament to the power of the people,” said Balimwezo. “Let’s continue building a strong, people-powered movement.”
Day Two continued with similar enthusiasm, adding UGX 21.2 million in cash and UGX 19.7 million via mobile money, reaffirming the party’s grassroots appeal and organizational momentum.
The fundraising campaign is a key pillar of NUP’s strategy to enhance its operational capacity as it gears up for future elections. The funds will be used to support leadership training, grassroots mobilization, and other strategic party activities aimed at consolidating and expanding its influence.
With the #PeoplePowerOurPower slogan resonating strongly across the country, NUP’s leadership believes the success of the fundraising campaign marks a significant step in building a formidable political force.
