SAD! One dead, 11 injured in Agago road accident
The injured were promptly rushed to Kalongo Hospital for treatment.

Agago: A tragic road accident on Monday claimed the life of a 19-year-old man and left eleven others injured in Kamuk Village, Agago District.
The deceased, identified as Okidi Patrick, was a resident of Munutam Village in Lakwa Parish, Omiya Pachua Subcounty. He died instantly when the vehicle he was traveling in overturned.
According to IP Oloya Joe, the Aswa East Regional Police spokesperson, the accident occurred when an Isuzu truck with registration number UBN 318X overturned while transporting passengers from Lumoi Village to Kalongo Town. The passengers had earlier attended a party organized by the area Member of Parliament, Hon. Okot John Amos.
Preliminary police investigations indicate that the driver, who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and speeding, failed to navigate a severely damaged section of the road, leading to the crash.
The injured have been identified as Okello David, 2, Oryema John, 59, Acire Patrick, 23,Otim Walter,30, Ocana Daniel ,18, Odokonyero Richard,18, Kilama David,27,Okidi Francis, 20, Obote Francis, 24, Okello Bosco ,59 and Oloya Richard ,22.
The scene was visited by IP Oketayot and his team. The injured were promptly rushed to Kalongo Hospital for treatment, while the wrecked vehicle was towed to Kalongo Police Station as investigations continue.
