Kiryandongo High School Shines in UACE 2024 Results
The school registered a total of 32 candidates, all of whom passed with flying colors.

Kiryandongo: Kiryandongo High School, a mixed day school located in Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement, Magamaga, has achieved outstanding results in the 2024 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) exams.
Among the top-performing students, Twambazimana John Peter emerged as the best candidate, scoring 16 points in the HED/ICT combination. He was followed closely by Mayom Peterson Granga, a refugee from South Sudan, who scored 15 points in the same combination.
Other notable performers included; Gyagenda Julius Kiberu got 13 points, Nome Gabriel svored 13 points and Komakechi Patrick got 13 points.

Despite facing numerous challenges, including being located within a refugee settlement, Kiryandongo High School has continued to excel, ranking among the best-performing schools in Kiryandongo District and the Bunyoro region.
The school’s Head Teacher, Mr. Odongo Nickson, attributed this remarkable success to the hard work and dedication of teachers.
“Our students’ performance is a testament to the commitment of our teachers and learners. I encourage our top-performing students to aim high and pursue their dreams,” he said.
The Deputy Head Teacher in charge of Academics, Mr. Lubangaken Chersea, confirmed the results from the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) and congratulated the students on their achievements.
He also expressed gratitude to Windle International Uganda and UNHCR for their financial support towards the school. Additionally, he appreciated parents, fellow teachers, the Board of Governors, and the community for their contribution to the school’s success.
With a dedicated teaching staff and a strong academic reputation, the school continues to be a preferred choice for both refugee and host community students seeking quality education.
