Museveni donates vehicle to South Ankole Diocesan Bishop

Ntungamo: President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, through State House, has donated a brand new Toyota Prado to the South Ankole Diocesan Bishop to facilitate his pastoral and evangelism work.

The zero-mileage vehicle was officially handed over at the Bishop’s residence on Kyamate Hill, Ntungamo Town, by State House Comptroller Ms. Jane Barekye.

The vehicle was received on behalf of the bishop by Very Rev. Can Cranmer Mwesigwa, the Dean, St. Matthew’s Cathedral Kyamate and Ruth Mwebembezi, the Bishop’s Secretary.

Ms. Barekye praised Rt. Rev. Nathan Ahimbisibwe for his dedication to spreading the gospel and championing development initiatives that improve the well-being of parishioners.

She emphasized that by supporting the diocese, President Museveni and First Lady Janet Museveni are also facilitating God’s ministry.

Speaking on behalf of the diocese, Very Rev. Mwesigwa expressed gratitude, noting that this is the second vehicle donation from President Museveni, as the previous one, received in 2012, had aged and was in poor condition.

Speaking to UG Reports Bishop Ahimbisibwe personally thanked the President and First Lady for their continued support. He also commended them for recently donating 10 heifer cows to diocesan clerics, ensuring they have access to daily milk.
