Umukuka commends Bugisu schools for excellent 2024 UCE performance
While commending students, parents, and school leaders for their dedication, Masiga reminded them that academic success does not end at O-Level.

Mbale: His Highness Jude Mike Mudoma, the Umukuka III of the Bamasaba people, has congratulated learners, teachers, and headteachers in Masabaland for their outstanding performance in the recently released 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results.
The Umukuka has announced plans to embark on his annual tour of Bugisu schools to personally congratulate school leaders on their achievements and encourage continuous academic excellence.
Several schools in Bugisu have been recognized for their exceptional UCE results, including; Mbale High School, Nyondo SSS, Mulatsi Nakaloke SSS, Mbale SSS, Nabumali SSS, Bulucheke SSS, Bubulo Girls,Mbale Deaf SSS, Bubyangu SSS,Masaba SSS and Magale SSS.
Steven Masiga, the spokesperson of the Inzu Ya Masaba cultural institution, emphasized that the Umukuka will traverse all schools in Masabaland to mobilize and encourage sustained academic progress.
“As a cultural institution, we have a duty to visit and monitor schools across Masabaland and beyond. During these visits, we shall assess the overall performance of schools, including those not listed above,” Masiga stated.
While commending students, parents, and school leaders for their dedication, Masiga reminded them that academic success does not end at O-Level.
“Education is a continuous journey beyond O-Level. Students must strive to excel at A-Level, university, and vocational training institutions to complete the cycle,” he added.
In addition to visiting schools in Uganda, the Umukuka will also extend his education monitoring efforts to Bungoma, Kenya, ensuring that all schools within Masabaland territory, whether in Uganda or Kenya, are supported and encouraged to excel.
